Berlin’s Voodoocuts returns at the start of next month with That Cool Loop and Jazzaround on Juice On Wax Vol. 4. And maybe he should have temporarily changed the name of the series to ‘Jazz On Wax Vol. 4′ since on this drop it’s all about the jazzy-hip-hop mashes in a slick collision of 90s sample sources that the track titles hint at if you have your eye tuned in. First up – That Cool Loop splices Digable Planets’ Rebirth Of Slick (I’m Cool Like That) with more or less the same loop(s) that Us3 chopped out of Herbie Hancock’s Cantaloupe back in the day for their mighty Cantaloop (Flip Fantasia). On the other side it’s all about House Of Pain’s Jump Around getting the jazz-hop treatment. Absolutely guranteed to get you biddy-biddy-bop-ing on the dancefloor and so hot it’s already sold out prior to release on our man’s bandcamp.
