The good news is Dutch funky-soul veterans The Soul Snatchers have a two-track digital single out; the sad news is that it commemorates a year since the death of their homie Micha ‘Soul Rabbi’ Müller. Both ‘sides’ of the single appear on limited edition vinyl LP Shine On (which also features material from Atanga Boom, DAMMNATION feat. Tom Ford, The Ruffcats feat. Doug Shorts, Sebastian Sturm & the UU and RAH & The Ruffcats) and consist of Feuer Machen (Soul Rabbi Forever) b/w Ronnie’s Funkadelic Strut. Two slices of chugging midtempo funk, the former is organ-led while the latter is a slightly slower more NOLA-style affair pitting guitars against Hammond and retro-synths. Either way, you know you’re getting righteously funked!
