The debut single from Sosyete ’25 (a.k.a the combined talents of multi-instrumentalist/ producer Paul Elliott (Call Sender/ Director of The Library Music Film), Glenn Fallows (The Globeflower Masters) and vocalist Merve Erdem (Kit Sebastian)) has just dropped, entitled Bilmece, the Turkish word for ‘riddle.’ Equally influenced by classic Mediterranean pop music, Turkish songwriting (Erdem was born in Istanbul) and less conventional production techniques, the track delivers a modern spin on the 70s funk of the Bosphorus region as Erdem lyrically ponders the bizarre nature of existence itself against a lutar-drenched musical backdrop. Also comes accompanied by an instrumental version.
