PM Warson returns with new single Right Here, Last Night – all mid-sixties R&B influences with just a touch of jazziness. The track opens with a horns vamp and then morphs into a yearning dancefloor stomper on which Warson regales us with a tale of a mysterious girl glimpsed across what one assumes is a smokey Soho basement club. The action doesn’t go much farther than that however. We’ve all been there. Over on the flip (if you cop the 45 released on Warson’s own label FYND and distributed by Acid Jazz by arrangement with Légère Recordings) you’ll also find instrumental groover Retrace The Steps.
