MRKBH X RICO JAMES: No Oasis

Last heard of round these parts back in July on Chief Cornerstone featuring Sadat X, it’s Indiana emcee MRKBH and producer Rico James with another release off Righteous Gemstones Part 2 entitled No Oasis. Over a phat lo-fi boom-bap beat with a suitably sinuous flute-led melody from James, MRKBH unleashes bars intended to remove the scales from the eyes of any listeners blindsided by the tricks and ruses of the usual suspects in the modern world – social media, marketing giants and drug gangs. He’s got his work cut out – it’s no oasis out there.
