MICHELLE DAVID & THE TRU-TONES: You’ll Never Know

Slipstreaming excellent last single (northern soul cut Running) comes the new one from Michelle David & The Tru-Tones, You’ll Never Know and it’s at least as good. This one’s a midtempo 60s R&B/soul-style crossover effort that chugs along full of twangy guitar handclaps, throbbing bassline and of course David’s gospel-trained vocal power. You’ll Never Know is the third single to drop off the band’s forthcoming long player Soul Woman which hints that it might fill a Sharon Jones-sized gap in the market when it comes out at the end of February.
