One from the vaults here as DJ Shepdog’s Rolling In The Dub finally makes it to seven inch vinyl. This wasn’t the only time Adele’s megahit got the Jamaican-influenced underground remix treatment in 2011 – Harvey K-Tel was there in the same year with Ranking In The Deep rocksteady version – but, like the Empire in The Empire Strikes Back, Shepdog got there first a few months earlier. The latter’s effort sought inspiration from a more recent era of Jamaican music and gave the singer the dancehall refix she never knew she wanted but always deserved. This one drops next month with a rather fetching new Beverly’s Records-inspired label design.
