New gear here from throwback soul-sensation Brother Wallace who follows the more funky stomp of previous single Who’s That? with the Motown-style Electric Love – the title track of his debut long player which drops this May. The gospel-trained Georgia singer has been championed by Craig Charles already but it was really a chance meeting some years ago that led to a creative partnership with The Heavy’s Dan Taylor (who produced and co-wrote the LP) – that really got the ball rolling. Any chance of a video for this life-affirming number? Maybe a simple, suitably grainy, retro-styled one featuring Wallace in a spotlight? Yeah, that should do it. The Electric Love LP drops 8 May this year on ATO Records.
