DJ Markey Funk’s Delights label continues to expand its clan of psych-funk wizards and the latest recruit is Project Gemini – essentially musician, producer and music journo Paul Osborne collaborating with Israeli drummer Shuzin and with Markey himself on lead keys and production. Can we expect a double slice of clattery drums and swirling spaced-out vintage synth work? We certainly can. Forest Creeper unfurls out of ominous bass and the sound of turning the dial through unoccupied VHF bandwidth into a stoner guitar-led library music style beast. Monsters At Gardens End meanwhile is even livelier, flitting around more funkily around and projecting, if anything, even louder guitar menace.
