Ooohhh! Time for a makeover! In this case for Disco Strut, the ‘other’ original track, from Lakeshore Drive‘s summer 2012 drop Living The Funk EP – and it seems Gok Wan didn’t get the call. Perhaps because Disco Strut isn’t at all the camp wiggle-along that its name implies – indeed the original was rather more of a JB’s-influenced slice of breaks. Not to worry if that’s your – er – bent, Danny Massure‘s on hand to subtly house you. DJ Twister, on the other hand, heavies up the breaks a bit and drops in what sound for all the world like some phone ringtone-derived bass touches while this release’s Tony Manero award for manly disco beef goes to Revivra Papet Hongrois for a his farty-synth-bass angle.
