Sounding none the worse for having undertaken a recent, crazy-ass, Japanese mini-tour, Switzerland’s Kind & Kinky Zoo turn once again to what they do best – providing discerning punters with monster psych-soul business. A-side Soif, Chameau, Pinot for example, will give you the shivers emerging, as it does, from fuzzy retro-synth-bass pulses. It then proceeds to resolve into a thunderous rhythm with organ and flute melodies swirling in and out of the drum break, delivering, in the process, one of the band’s best tracks – if not the best one to date. Additional b-boy thrills come in the form of the B-side which is Voodoocuts b-boy friendly Eau Chaud – more than enough hot water for any dancer to get into.
