Father Funk‘s name always sounds to me like a slightly testy personification of the greatest musical genre known to man (“Do you think I’m made of funk?”, “Funk doesn’t grow on trees you know”, “I’m not sleeping, I’m just resting my funk” etc. etc.) which, is ironic because his music is the very thing to prompt just such a testy personification to tell the ghetto funk kids to, “Turn that bloody noise down!” And this four tracker is no exception – the kids’ll love it.
