[RATING: 5] Last heard of around these parts with his excellent Nico Gomez edit from back in the autumn, Mr Boom returns with another edit par excellence, this time hijacking George Jackson’s 1971 single – er – Love Hijacker. Well, I say ‘hijack’, Jackson would probably have welcomed Mr Boom with open arms after hearing this sensitive version which subtly tweaks the beat and extends things here and there for the twenty-first audience whilst maintaining the righteous spirit and soulful vibe of the original. Like Mr B’s last edit, this one is also free to download and you’d be daft to sleep on it. Incredibly labels haven’t shown interest yet though surely there’s a sureshot 45 to be had with this on one side and the previous edit on the other. Cop it below…
