[RATING: 5] Fresh today comes the news that a new G Love LP, Philadelphia Mississippi is out later this year and the lead track off it, Love From Philly, is out now. This latter will be every bit the fat hip-hop blues bump you’d be looking for from G and features none other than old school rap legend Schoolly D providing guest verses and drummer Chuck Treece laying down heavyweight drums. The new album meanwhile follows previous G project The Juice and finds him returning to the hip-hop blues in a big way, collaborating with a host of artists drawn from the hip-hop scenes of the north and the blues scenes of the south.
