DUB PISTOLS feat. NATTY CAMPBELL: Movin’ On

[RATING: 5] The third single since November from Dub Pistols in advance of their forthcoming Frontline album is this, Movin’ On, also the second of said singles to feature new school reggae vocalist Natty Campbell. However, while it maintains every bit of the quality of its predecessors Nice Up and Soundboy Killa, it flips the script stylistically and turns in a sweetly melancholy slice of dub reggae. The melody was written with Ashley Slater while assitance from King Yoof brought out the ‘dark or, as the ‘Pistols’ Barry Ashworth puts it, “Moving On is kind of dark with a ‘Ghost Town’ feel. But it still has an uplifting message.” Yep, that pretty much nails it. Hey – what about a video? Barry and Natty having a skank – swirly psychedelic effects, black, red and white colour scheme? Yeah, that should do it.
